Iceberg Interactive and Noviy Disk sign publishing deal

Haarlem, The Netherlands– 28 October 2009– Premier videogame publisher Iceberg Interactive and Noviy Disk , publisher and distributor of software and games across Russian-speaking territories, have signed a mutual publishing agreement for the release of several exiting PC titles.

Iceberg Interactive will start with the release of the epic hack-and-slash game Ninja Blade across the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, Benelux, Portugal and Italy. The game is set in modern-day Tokyo and features the young ninja Ken, who is an expert blade master. Ninja Blade has already been released for the Xbox 360 earlier this year, but will now also be available for the PC by the End of November 2009, thanks to From Software. PC gamers will be given the almost impossible task to defend Tokyo and ultimately humanity itself from horrific, genetically mutating parasites. The game is a pure adrenaline rush, featuring spectacular ninja combo’s and powers, great graphics and cinematic cut-scenes intertwined with the action.

From Software has given the gaming community a different take on a familiar game, Ninja Gaiden by Namco. As one of elite soldiers in the world, Ken Ogawa was chosen, with many others to find and eliminate parasites in Tokyo, Japan, jumping, dodging, slicing, rocking, or strike.

Ninja Blade offers a different perspective on the normal slice and dice game. Start "parachuting" in Tokyo and the fight against bird pests with the return of Quick-Time Events.Primarily used against bosses, but also used in some places in the game, Quick-Time Events are used a little while playing. When a QTE happens, the game will make noise, like a flashing sword and follow closely the eyes of Ken, after which it will display a shortcut scene something happens and a key sequence. Press him in a white circle closes on the button. If the button is not pressed in time, it will display the player dies somehow.Players can always try again, even if the button is not always the same (believe me, I died several times from that), but at least there's a chance to catch your mistake.

Ninjitsu helps you conquer the elements while doing acrobatic tricks rather quickly. There are four different types of Ninjitsu. Lightning, which stuns enemies, fire, sets enemies on fire, and wind extinguished the fire. As for the fourth Ninjitsu, it is gained by finishing the game on the hardest.I'll leave that one a secret for the reader to understand.

There are also three different types of weapons to choose from, other than Ninjitsu. You start with the Ninja blade, then get the Sword Stonerender, and finally acquire the Twin Falcon Knives. Blade Ninja is more neutral and a weapon is not as fast as knives Bottle Twin and is not as powerful as the sword Stonerender. The Sword Stonerender is mainly for power and the demolition of walls, and those fun and interesting capabilities.Falcon Twin Knives do not have as much damage than sword Stonerender, but they are extremely fast when used in combo. They also have strings attached to them to hit enemies that are farther away.
